This work is in dialogue with the wide spread contemporary use of AI generated images. I make these are digital compositions by combining and altering photos of real events one layer and one visual element at a time. The resulting images are possible but not plausible. I am not trying to trompe l’oeil or fool the eye – I leave the cutting and pasting visible. I invite viewers with critical eyes to notice the inconsistencies.
